yummy soup
Last night I tried a new crockpot soup from the southern living magazine called BAKED POTATO SOUP. It was sooo yummy I wanted to share it with all of you
6 large russet potatoes peeled and cut into 1/2inch cubes about 3 3/4 pounds
1large onion chopped (i only used half)
3 (14oz) cans chicken broth with roasted garlic
1/4c butter
2 1/2 tsp salt
1 1/4 tsp freshly ground pepper
1 c whipping cream or half and half
1 c shredded cheddar cheese
sour cream (optional)
4 bacon slices cooked and crumbled
shredded cheddar cheese for the top
1.combine first 6 ingredients in a slow cooker
2. cover and cook on high for 4 hours or low for 8 until potato is tender
3.mash mixture until potatoes are coarsley chopped and soup is slightly thickened; stir in cream and cheese. Top with sour cream , cheese and bacon.
ENJOY

Not much going on
So we haven't really done anything exciting lately. Just back to school and all the craziness that go's along with that. The kids have entered the exciting world of webkinz. You buy a stuffed animal that comes with a code. You go online and your pet comes to life. You have to feed your pet and take care of it you can buy all kinds of stuff and build a whole house. You can have your pet go to school , work or you can play games to earn money to buy more stuff for your pet. It's actually really cool and my kids have had so much fun with it. Thanks Tonja for Aidan Husky he loves it. So other then that not much . We are all healthy now knock on wood and Tim got home last night so life is good :) I hope everyone is doing good also.

HAPPY NEW YEAR
I hope everyone had a really fun new year. Mine didn't quite turn out like I thought it would. Me and the kids just had a lazy day on the 31st(Tim is gone) in the evening we had a pizza for dinner then played games I decided that the kids should start going to bed early because we had to go back to school today so we started the count down at 8:30 and they got to blow horns and had sparkling cider they loved it.....then my stomach started hurting I hurried and put the kids to bed and rang in the new year with a pretty high fever and some throwing up just the perfect thing to start a new year out with. Well I'm sure my new year won't be filled with sickness...at least we can hope and I hope that all of you have a wonderful and healthy new year. News years day was not much better but my wonderful friend Stephanie saved the day . she took my 3 children to her house for 5 hours fed them dinner and everything. She is single and was leaving to fly a mission this morning I can not tell you how grateful I am that she did that for me. I slept the whole time and felt like a new women ...well kinda. Anyway enough of that Happy New Year again !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
